Chuck and I suffered a loss the day after the 4th Annual Scotch Bowl.  As some of you may know our

own Greyhound Lucy had been suffering with a heart condition since January 1st, 2009

On Sunday, August 2nd  we rushed Lucy to the hospital yet again, she had only come home the Friday before,

during the early hours of August 3rd Lucy went into cardiac arrest and died.

To say we are devastated is putting it lightly.  We did everything we could but knew there was no cure.

We would like to "Thank" Dr. Jennifer Mulz, cardiologist at

Oradell Animal Hospital for the great care she gave Lucy.  She allowed us 8 more months with our Lucy LuLuBelle.

Remember: Shelters are filled with dogs, cats, kittens and puppies.  Many are full breeds.  Every year approx. 5,000,000 shelter animals are put down, yes..I said EVERY YEAR!

That is 575 animals per HOUR.

Please check the shelters and rescue groups first!

Can't adopt right now..can you make a donation? Can you give just $1 a day for 1 month - $30 donation

This is on average what a good quality food would cost you for 1 month for 1 dog.

I realized I was spending $3 a day for a cup of coffee that I can get at work free.

Doesn't taste as good BUT I can help 1 dog each month AND still save $$.
